Adult Programs


  1. The Adult Basic Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs provide adult education, ESL, citizenship, pre-employment skills training, and job placement for low-income adults, in collaboration with non-profit organizations all over the Philadelphia area.

  2. Families That Work is for working parents of children from infancy through third grade. This program provides adult education, parenting, early childhood education, and PACT (Parents and Children Time Together). It also addresses the literacy needs of all members of the family while promoting parental involvement in their children's education.


  3. HARCUM/I-LEAD program  provides on-site support for students with a GED or High School Diploma interested in pursuing a college education at Harcum College.  IAC staff help participants complete the financial Aid application process and provide support through the admissions process.  The schedule of course offerings is flexible.  IAC provides computer support and academic assistance during the courses. 

     
  4. Core Education, Employment, and Job Skills training Programs provide counseling, basic education, GED preparation, intensive computer training, and life and employment skills to high school drop-outs, ages 17 to 21. Participants can receive a high school diploma, job training, employment skills, preparation for post-secondary education, as well as readiness for the world of work.
